Great Britain, Want list
Postally used covers
|
I am interested in anything beyond the normal.
Here are some examples of covers posted at sea/paquebot,
test labels, high values, travelling post offices, abnormal cancels and
field post offices.
I am also interested in covers with dues or frama labels and covers returned
to sender or with other official markings. Also fine registered covers, airmail etc. are interesting
I am not interested in First Day Covers and similar covers which have not been postally used.

Here is an example of a cover sent from Glasgow March 1 1898,
arrived in Brooklyn New York March 12 1898. Added purple "Postage due..." by accident and
was scratched out. Forwarded to Hartford Connecticut, where it arrived March 13 1898.
The cover has several cancels on the back showing the trip this cover went.
A little smudgy but nevertheless quite interesting.

A very nice and clean cover.
Very close to perfect except for the printed address - I prefer a nice handwritten address.
I need fine covers from all british sets and I can't find all
with interesting cancels and other abnormal things, so that is why
I can allways use "ordinary" covers in qualities like the one shown.
I have a want-list ready to mail to you.
